Purchase the theme on the Illustfolio Lumina site.

Download the Theme

Download

Open the email receipt from when you purchased Illustfolio Lumina and download the theme's Zip file.

<aside> ℹ️ If there are multiple files, download the newest version.

Unzip

Unzip the downloaded Zip file (right-click "Extract All" on Windows).

The index.html file will be extracted.

Install on Tumblr

Register a Tumblr Account

Register on Tumblr.

If you already have an account, log in.

Create a Blog

Create a new blog to apply Illustfolio Lumina.

<aside> 💡 If you already have a blog on Tumblr, you can skip this step.

Install the Theme

On a PC browser, open Tumblr and follow these steps:

Blog Settings

• Click "Account" from the left menu.
• From the list of blogs, select the blog you want to apply the theme to.
• Click "Blog Settings" from the right menu.

For the "Visibility" section, make the following settings:

• Set "Hide [Blog Name] from people without an account" to "Disabled"
• Set "Prevent third-party sharing for [Blog Name]" to "Enabled"

Go to Theme Customization Screen

• Enable "Enable custom theme" in Blog Settings.
• Click "Edit theme" to go to the theme customization screen.

Copying the Theme

• Open the index.html file of Illustfolio Lumina with an application that can open HTML files (e.g., Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on Mac), and copy the entire code.

<aside> ⚠️ If using Mac’s TextEdit:

1. From the top menu bar, go to TextEdit > Settings...
2. Select the "Open and Save" tab, and check the box for “Display HTML files as HTML code instead of formatted text.”
3. Close the settings window to finish.

By enabling this setting, HTML files will open correctly as code. For more details, please refer to Apple’s official help page: “Always open HTML files in code-editing mode”

Apply the Theme

• In Tumblr's theme customization screen, click "Edit HTML".

• Delete all the existing theme code and paste Illustfolio Lumina's code, then save it.

Required Settings

In the theme customization screen, click "Advanced Settings" at the bottom of the left menu.

Make the following settings:

• Set "Use default mobile theme" to "Disabled"
• Set "Enable Google AMP" to "Disabled"
• Set "Posts per page" to "12"
• Set "Promote Tumblr" to "Disabled"

Click "Save" to save the settings.

Check How the Blog Looks

Check on PC

• In Blog Settings, under "Address", go to your blog.
• Check if Illustfolio Lumina is applied correctly.

<aside> ⚠️ [Blog Name].tumblr.com is the correct address.

www.tumblr.com/[Blog Name] is called Tumblr URL and the theme cannot be used.

Check on Smartphone

• Access the same URL as on PC from your smartphone and check if Illustfolio Lumina is applied correctly.

<aside> ℹ️ If it appears completely different, the default mobile theme might be displayed. Make sure "Use default mobile theme" is "Disabled".
